How to Join

1. Signing up during the year

FedGym Membership is open to all employees and contractors working in the New Federal Building (NFB) or the 9th Circuit Court Building.

Your dues depend on when you join, but your membership is always valid until the July 2011 Open House.  The dues broken down into quarters:

    • 1 year (July 2010 – July 2011)
    • ¾ year (Oct 1, 2010 – July 2011)
    • ½ year (Jan. 1, 2011 – July 2011)
    • ¼ year (Apr. 1, 2011 – July 2011)

    For example, a GS-9 joining on November 1st would pay for a ¾ year membership (or $90). Their membership will be valid from November 1st until the July 2011 Open House.

    To join at any time during the year:

    1. Review our policies and procedures
    2. Complete this Enrollment Form
    3. Prepare a check (cash) for dues (see rate table below); and,
    4. Drop off the Enrollment Form and dues with Cara Morkert, OASAM, NFB, Room 12-300.

    Contact a member of the fitness committee to view the facilities prior to joining.

    2. Annual Open House (July)

    Every July FedGym sponsors an Open House. In addition to discounted Memberships and preference for locker rentals, people also have the opportunity to tour the facilities, see equipment demonstrations, and talk to our class contractor/instructor(s).

    3. Lockers

    Rental - Lockers in the Basement and Annex are available for rent by members.  The rate is $50/year (no pro-rated rentals). Members may rent locals in both areas.

    Day Use - The remaining lockers are available to members as day use only (NO overnight privileges). The Fitness Committee reserves the right to cut locks left on lockers overnight.
